Service Delivery Policy
Effective date: 12 July 2026 (updated 28 September 2026). DigitalPatra is an online service — you never need to visit a stamp vendor or an office; we do the legwork. This policy is our equivalent of a shipping policy: it explains exactly what you receive, how it reaches you, how long it takes, and what to do if anything does not arrive.
1. What Is Delivered
On completion of your order you receive: (a) your document as a PDF, executed on a government e-stamp of the applicable value and digitally signed by all parties through Aadhaar eSign; (b) the e-stamp certificate number printed on the document; and (c) simple instructions for verifying the e-stamp's authenticity on the official government verification portal; and (d) the original e-stamped document, sent by India Post Speed Post (see Section 4). Where Aadhaar eSign is not legally applicable to your document type, you receive the scanned, e-stamped soft copy by email instead of an eSigned PDF, plus the original by Speed Post. The signed PDF is the legally executed document — it does not need to be printed to be valid, though you may print copies for convenience.
2. Delivery Channels
Every completed document is delivered by email to both parties — email delivery is mandatory and is the primary channel. When a WhatsApp number is on file, we also send a WhatsApp notification that the document is ready. The Aadhaar eSign link reaches each signer by email/SMS and may come from our eSign partner's address. Please make sure the email addresses provided for all signing parties are correct and accessible.
3. Timelines
Your draft agreement is prepared as soon as you place the order. After the Owner and Tenant have both approved the draft and payment is completed, we buy the genuine government e-stamp (SHCIL-issued, verifiable at shcilestamp.com) — typically issued the same working day for payments made before 8 PM, otherwise the next working day. Your document is placed on the e-stamp (the real certificate is page 1), scanned, and the soft copy is sent to all signers for Aadhaar eSign. The signed soft copy is emailed to all parties as soon as everyone completes their Aadhaar eSign, and the original is dispatched by Speed Post within 1 working day. Actual completion time depends on when each party completes signing and on the availability of government e-stamping and eSign systems, which are operated by third parties and occasionally experience downtime. If a government system delay affects your order, we will keep you informed.
4. Physical Delivery
The e-stamped, eSigned soft copy emailed to all parties is complete and legally valid on its own. The original e-stamped document is sent by India Post Speed Post — dispatched within 1 working day, with delivery usually taking 2–5 working days anywhere in India. Speed Post delivery of the original is included in every order at no extra charge — there is no separate delivery fee and nothing to opt into; we simply ask for the delivery address and PIN code when you place your order. For addresses within Bengaluru, we also offer same-city courier delivery of the original, typically within 3 hours of dispatch, as a faster alternative to Speed Post. The service itself is available only within India, for Karnataka-jurisdiction documents. Parties may sign from anywhere, but the property and the agreement must fall under Karnataka jurisdiction.
5. If You Have Not Received Your Document
First, check your email spam/junk folder and search for "digitalpatra". If the document is not there, contact us at support@digitalpatra.in or on WhatsApp at +91 85306 75306with your order ID and we will re-send it immediately. We also monitor every order on our side: if anything is stuck due to an issue at our end, we will proactively email you within 24 hours with the status and expected resolution — you should never have to chase us to find out where your document is.
6. Free Re-Delivery
Your executed documents are stored securely and can be re-sent to you at any time, free of charge. If you lose the PDF, change devices, or need it sent to a different email address, just message us with your order ID and we will re-deliver it.
